Dream Journaling

Dream journaling is a wonderful way to get in touch with your subconscious, inner truth, and inner knowing. When looking at themes, symbols, and messages within your dreams - there are many deeper truths that may be discovered. Sometimes our dreams are just reflections of our current days in our lives, while other times we can be shown things that our minds are trying to process through. Ways to implement dream journaling into your everyday routine:

  1. Choose a mobile app or journal to begin keeping track of your dreams.

  2. Keep whichever form of journal medium close on-hand within reach to be able to access as soon as you wake up from a dream. (Some people who don’t like keeping their phone next to them at night prefer a hard bound journal. Other people like creating voice memos or voice-to-text to get it down right away).

  3. Record your dreams with as much detail as possible. (Some people like to add drawn pictures to emphasize certain aspects of the dream).

  4. Begin sleuthing for the meaning of different symbolism in order to see any additional insights being provided. There are many free options online, or you can explore books like this one or this one to have at your fingertips as well.

  5. Keep track of any patterns or themes, and if working with a healing practitioner bring them to your sessions for further exploration.

I personally love tracking my dreams to see if they are providing any further insights to me on my journey. Do you track your dreams as well? I’d love to hear from you if you do!

Yours in wellness and healing,

Angela
